We had a family reunion one weekend in early August.I didn’t take as many pictures as I usually do of all the families.Here is the one my cousin took of our family.That is Blips on the left, me, mom, Doreen, and David.The food was fantastic.The time went way too fast but I did get to talk to many cousins that I have not seen in a year.

I turned on the Republican convention tonite. It is in St Paul, Mn (which is a rare thing). You know that an obscure unknown controversial woman was nominated for Vice President to run with John McCain. I thought I should listen to what she has to say since she very well may end up our VP. As the speakers before her gave rousing cheerleading speeches…..the crowd waved thousands of signs saying Country First….. Thousands and Thousands.
This really creaped me out. I mean big time. Think about it. Country First, Country First, Country First, Country First
Scary Stuff
I don’t believe(but I could be wrong) that the Republican slogan was Country First until this Palin woman appeared with a down syndrome baby to care for and a pregnant 17 year old daughter. hmmmmm Country First. Well, Palin is doing her part I guess, Country First and family second.
This is really scary stuff when you see thousands swollowing it hook line and sinker.

I never did watch her speech.That Country First stuff makes my stomach turn.
